Facebook has admitted that its app drains iPhone batteries - but a fix is here. The company has been investigating claims from users that the app is killing their device's battery more quickly than usual. Facebook engineering manager Ari Grant has admitted that two issues with the software are responsible for the problem, and that his team has now fixed them.
FACTS:
- The first issue we found was a 'CPU spin' in our network code," he said in a Facebook post.

SUMMARY:
A ransom demand has been received by TalkTalk after a major cyber attack in which hackers may have seen sensitive customer data. A TalkTalk spokeswoman said: "We can confirm we were contacted by someone claiming to be responsible and seeking payment," adding: "Everything else is a matter for the police." A "significant and sustained" attack on the firm's website earlier this week means credit card and bank account details may have been stolen.
- The company says customer names, dates of birth, addresses and phone numbers may also have been accessed.
- Police are now investigating, while the company's four million customers are being urged to check their accounts for any suspicious activity "over the next few months" and change their passwords.
